My Unexpected Love by Heidi McLaughlin • BLOG TOUR & REVIEW

Title: My Unexpected Love
Series: The Beaumont Series: Next Generation #2
Author: Heidi McLaughlin
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 12, 2018 Cover Design: Sarah Hansen @ Okay Creations

Ben Miller met the love of his life the day he crossed paths with Elle James in their high school cafeteria. New to Beaumont, he took a chance when he approached her. Their first encounter was everything his mother ever read to him about fairy tales. He saw the girl who would be his forever.
From the moment Elle James met Ben Miller they’ve been best friends. Everything they did, they did it together, from late night study sessions, family vacations, throwing bottles off the water tower, going to prom and finally moving to California for college.
However, after the almost tragic accident where she nearly lost her twin sister, Elle’s life hasn’t been the same, and neither has her relationship with Ben.
One fateful decision changes the scope of Ben and Elle’s relationship. For one, it means a new beginning. For the other, it means change.

So happy we got Elle’s story!

It was everything and more! Ben is her best friend and he has been there for her since she was 14! He is in love w her and didn’t know how to tell her but after his birthday the line gets crossed and the next day both of their lives are forever changed?

But no spoilers here ....just know it is an adorable sweet and amazing read and it was awesome to get more of these characters!

I loved Elle and Ben and their story was a complete page turner and I truly hope anyone who’s interested get a copy and starts ASAP! You will def love it!!!

I've loved this series from the very beginning. It doesn't get any better than having the originals stories be told and then to get their children's stories. I love seeing them all grown up and the relationship that they have with their parents now.
I wasn't sure what to expect of Elle's story. We know what happened with Peyton. With them being twins, you can only expect that it's going to affect Elle as well since that has that twin bond thing going on. I just didn't expect it to affect her for so long. She kind of went off the deep end. While her best friend, Ben, has been there for her from the beginning of it all, there's only so much he can sit around and watch. The night/morning of his birthday changed it all. It was a bit of a wake-up call for him. Now he has a tough decision to make. Can he continue to sit around and watch Elle self-destruct or should he cut his losses now?
love the bit of angst that we seem to be getting with each story. At least Elle's story didn't have me gripping the edge of my seat, afraid of what the outcome would be. It was a bit more mellow, and for that I'm thankful. I loved the storyline itself and how it all came full circle. Everyone ended where they should in my opinion. Now, to see how Quinn's story will play out. I think his will be interesting since we don't even have a love interest in mind, or not that I'm aware of.
