I NEVER finish a Penelope Ward book feeling disappointed. I swear this authors has some magical writing powers because she always delivers a fun, fresh, and interesting story to her readers.

I loved how this story started out as and how it developed. It was a different take on a friends to lovers/second change type story. The author put a lot of details into this book without feeling like it dragged on. The flow of the story was just perfection! The author included so many twist and turns, I couldn't even guess as to what was going to happen next but I really loved the "big secret"! 

These were some complex characters. Both Landon and Rana had such complicated pasts and I really enjoy that fact the author took the time to share those pasts with the reader. It made everything in the story fall together perfectly. 

Overall, the story was amazing and the writing was impeccable. This is an absolute favorite book of mine so far for 2017. Everyone needs to read this book!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Rana takes the bull by the horns and looks up an old friend.. Then rings him while drunk! This is something many of us do and it probably isn’t as funny as it is in this book.

Landon is the friend Rana calls and he is no longer the little boy Rana was friends with as a child.

Life has changes for both of them. They decide they need to get reacquainted and this leads to a series of funny calls & texts.

What I like about Rana is her vulnerability. Things happened in her childhood that made her into the insecure adult she is. Both these characters are flawed. They both carry secrets from their past and are both scared to lay it all bare.

This book is full of humour which complements the slow burn romance they have got going on. I really enjoyed this story and these characters. They were both likeable and really easy to connect with.

I picked up this book and did not want to put it down until the end, it was way too entertaining to walk away from.

This book is well worth adding to you TBR for 2017, you will not be disappointed!
