I wish someone would’ve warned me about the dangers of
falling in love with your best friend.
I was no stranger to covering up my problems with meaningless sex and alcohol.
When Brea asked me for one night to help her forget,
I craved being the man she needed.
Just sex.
No commitment.
Then she begged me to promise her nothing would change between us.
I couldn’t bring myself to lie to her.
One night.
One broken promise.
I will never forget the night I fell in love with my best friend,
and now nothing will ever be the same.

Brooke lives in the Midwest with her high school sweetheart and their three children (both human and furry). Growing up Brooke always had a love of writing; she started out writing poetry when she was young and began journaling her thoughts as she grew older. Diving headfirst into a good book has always been therapeutic for her. Now her two passions have collided.

She believes you can cure any bad day with chocolate. Brooke enjoys going on long drives with no destination in mind. She's found that's when her characters talk to her the most! If she's not reading or writing, you'll probably find her spending time with her family, watching NBA basketball, going to the movies, or collecting signed paperbacks.

Exes with Benefits by Nicole Williams • BLOG TOUR & REVIEW

Review by: Gina

The best thing about this book, it was something completely different than what I have recently read. It was so refreshing that it made it hard to put down.

I fell in love with this book from the start!. I enjoyed the love/hate relationship that these two characters had and their dynamic towards each other. The author did a great job on giving the details about the characters by telling us a little bit here and there through out the story. It kept the story interesting and kept me wanting more. I thought the story was well developed along with the characters. There was humor, there was drama, there was was everything that makes a great book. This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last! I can't wait to read more!

I've been on a role lately with these books that I've been reading. With this being my first book read of Nicole Williams', I wasn't sure what to expect. I'd heard great things, but I'm always hesitant to read a new author that others rave about. I'm scared I won't love them as much. This was not the case here. Exes with Benefits opened my up to this author that I've obviously been missing.
Maggie Ford or rather Maggie Church as she goes by now, is back in town. A place she never thought she be again. For reasons that everyone seems to know, she's not excited. Not for the reason that she's back and not to see a certain ex. Canaan knows he screwed up so many years ago. He let the best thing that ever happened to slip through his fingers. He's a changed man now though. He just has to prove it to Maggie if she'll let him.
Truths come out, ones that should have been voiced years ago, ghosts are set free, and futures discussed. The past isn't pretty. It it's their past. Maggie and Canaan were both stubborn and feisty. They were never ones to hold in their words. Two things they were known for fighting and ..... well, I'm sure you can guess the other f-word. Learning their story and feeling the tension between them, you know their relationship is and has been something beautiful. It's one that should not be missed.

***He wants a second chance. I want a divorce. To get what I want, I’ll have to give him what he does.***

From New York Times & USA Today bestselling author, Nicole Williams:

The only benefit I want from my ex is a divorce.

We got married for all the wrong reasons. The one thing we got right was our separation. I should have known better than to think I could bet on forever with a guy like Canaan Ford. Everything about him screamed impermanent, from his wild eyes to his restless soul.

When I left him and the small town I’d spent my whole life in, I swore I’d never go back. Never only turned out to be five years. Canaan claims he’s changed, but he hasn’t—same knowing smile, same rough demeanor, same body crafted from sin and sinew. And yet, something is different. He thinks this is his chance for redemption. My disagreement comes in the form of divorce papers dropped in his lap. He refuses to sign them. Unless . . .

He wants a month to prove himself to me—that’s his offer. One month to make me fall in love with him again and if I don’t, he’ll sign the papers. As much as I want to say no, I agree. I can suffer my ex for a short amount of time if that’s what it takes to be free of him once and for all. I fell for him once; I won’t make that same mistake twice.

He says we’re not over. I say we were over before we got started. Only one of us can be right, and I can’t let it be him.

“One month. That’s nothing in the scope of a person’s life.” He slid a bit closer.

“One month is everything when it comes to opening myself back up to you.”

He didn’t argue that. He let silence speak for him instead.
“What exactly are you expecting during this one month?” I might have winced when I heard myself say those words.
He rubbed his mouth, trying to hide whatever was trying to form. “For you to give me another chance. For you to be my wife.”
The term made me nauseated. “Your wife? As in your indentured servant? No way.”
It was a smile he was trying to hide. Not very successfully. It made me thankful I’d slipped into these old boots so I could give him a solid kick in the ass if necessary.
“Like be willing to spend time with me. That’s it. That’s all,” he added when he correctly interpreted the question in my eyes. The question.
“What will we be doing during that time we’re spending together?” I pulled at the chest of my dress when I noticed the way his gaze had lingered there a moment too long.
His shoulder rose. “Got any ideas?” There was an unmistakable glint in his eyes.
“No,” I answered instantly.
“You used to have plenty of ideas for filling the time.” He took a swig of his Coke.
“And then I learned how to use my brain.”
He studied my fake smile, almost like he was contemplating what it would feel like against his mouth. “Dinners. Dates. Simple stuff like that.”
I held my best poker face, considering his offer. I didn’t want to stay married to him. If one more month was what it took to be free of Canaan Ford, I could suck it up. I’d already made it five years. “No expectations of anything of a physical nature?”
“If I remember right”—his eyes narrowed as he rubbed the back of his head—“it was generally you who instigated all of that back then.”
I shoved his chest. Bad idea. Solid. Firm. Home.
My jaw ground as I worked to erase that word from my conscious where he was concerned. “And you were just the perfect gentleman.”
Canaan snatched my hand before I could pull it away. Holding onto it, he dragged me closer. Not so close that our bodies touched, but close enough the separation was painful.
“Exactly,” he said in that low voice of his. The one he’d whispered my name in so many times as he moved inside me. “A gentleman gives his woman exactly what she needs. As many times as she need it. Just doing my part.”
“How noble.”
“That’s right. So if you want to make any changes to this one month agreement, consider me your humble servant.” When his hand dropped to my waist, his touch hesitant at the same time it was insistent, I didn’t flinch out of instinct the way I should have.
Instead, I had to remind myself to pull away from him; to flinch at his touch. “I have a boyfriend, Canaan.” Even to my ears, it sounded like a weak protest.
His hand didn’t fall away when I stepped back. “You’re a married woman, Maggie.”
“My husband forfeited his rights years ago.” My eyes found his, expecting them to shoot away once mine made contact.
They didn’t. His gold eyes held to mine. “He’s here to reclaim them.”

Review by: Leeann

Ever thought about what cupid does when not firing those pesky arrows into unsuspecting lovers butts? Well have a read of this book and find out!
My knowledge of Greek mythology is pretty much zero so for me this book was pure entertainment and I hope that if anyone is into the facts of mythology that they read this book and take it in the spirit it was meant to be taken.  Kirsty Dallas has let her creative juices run wild with this one and has pulled it off with absolute brilliance.

Pheibe Cupid (Bee) has no interest in love. She and her offsider Mac cause complete mayhem everywhere they go. Their antics had me in hysterics at times. When Austin comes along he quite literally turns Bee’s world upside down.
This book is fresh and fun and very different from anything I have read in  while. I found myself so caught up in the story and the adventure that I lost track of time and it was 3am before I knew it.
I can say in all honesty that the character development is astounding and who they are at the beginning of the book is very different to who they are at the end.
The journey I was taken on in this story was completely unexpected but absolutely delightful. The anticipation was tangible, the feelings real and the storyline fantastic.

There are lots of romance stories available on the market at the moment and I can say in all certainty that none of them are quite like this. Kirsty Dallas has written an original, funny and sexily entertaining romance that will keep you captivated from page 1 right up until the very end.

I absolutely FLOVED this book!!

OMG 5 ++++ stars

WoW... This was a sad, happy, angst, angry, romantic book. And just so much feels that I can't even describe it

Mari Cosmann is a singer. But until she started singing in her best friend's band, she wasn't too keen on being the center of attention. But after singing with her friends Sawyer's band she quickly find out that that is exactly what she wanted to do, she found her passion.
Cole Wallace was a NFL superstar, until an unfortunate accident changed his career path and now he is a teacher and teaching high school football. His life is not what he pictured it would be but he is fine with where he is at now.
Until his friend takes him out on a night of drinking and relaxing and he hears Mari sings. He knows that he wants her and he will do anything to have her.

So imagine his surprise when she is not so eager to be with him, because he is certainly not that bad looking. Until he finds out why she doesn't want anything to do with him.

Cole Wallace and his friends was Mari's bullies in high school. A fact that Cole is not to happy to look back on. But he can't believe how he treated her in high school, and now she is the one that he can't forget. How will he show her that he is not that person anymore. That he has changed. And even though he knows that she might feel something for him, will he be able to convince her that they are meant to be together or will the hurt that he inflicted on her be too much for her to overcome.

This is a story filled with so much hurt, so much pain, so much heartbreak. There were times I actually felt like my heart was breaking for Mari, but then I was rooting for poor Cole. You could see that he was not the same person and that he was a changed person.
A awesome story with great lead characters and I have to say that I loved the side characters as well. And can't wait to read their stories

Review by: Tatia

This is Beautiful is the conclusion to Kayla and Logan's story which we started in This is Dangerous. We start off basically right where we ended which is always nice. Kayla fell and hit her head, she's in the hospital and wakes up. Gasp!! You'll have to read it to find out what happens next.
Kayla's always been strong and independent, but we see more of that in this second half. In some ways she's just as if not more independent and risk taking, but it other ways, she's having to rely on Logan for so much and trust him. She's battling feelings that she doesn't know if they're real or not. Logan is being as strong as he can given the circumstances. He's trying and sometimes that's all you can do.
I've loved these duets since they first started. With the first one usually ending on a cliffhanger, it always leaves me anxious for the second half of the story. This was no different for this couple. I loved This is Dangerous but found This is Beautiful to be a bit repetitive in parts. I understood why given the events, but was hoping for the awakening moment a bit sooner and to have more of "after". I still enjoyed it and am glad that I read it! Logan and Kayla are still one of my favorite couples!

Review by: Amy

"I remember", "I remember everything". OH MY Gosh I waited so long for those words to come pouring out of Kayla's mouth!!! These two, Logan and Kayla, deserve the world for what they went through. A cat & mouse game from the beginning, Kayla knew what she wanted when she set her sites on Logan. He took a little longer to convince. When the two finally got together they were rudely interrupted by tragedy. Seriously, enough to want to throw my kindle. These two were adorable fumbling around trying to figure their "relationship" out, only to have it trumped by a freak accident. Thank goodness for this book to smooth things out.

This continuation was perfect and well written. The author showcased the strengths and weaknesses of both main characters fluidly and with so much intrigue. I was captivated right away and was hooks throughout. The secondary characters were written well and added well to the story. I was very pleased with this book and would recommend it completely.
